Who it suits

Dogs who prefer a more relaxed environment, who want extra individual attention, or who simply do better with a little more peace and quiet. It is $69 per dog, per night.

A calmer, quieter boarding area. More one-on-one time with the kennel technicians. Its own large play yard just outside the VIP area, rather than sharing the main yards.

Booking it

The VIP Room is a limited part of the building, so it is worth asking early, particularly around holidays. Book online or call and ask for it by name.

Questions about vip room.

My dog is anxious or does not do well around other dogs. Do you have an option?
Yes. The VIP Room is $69 per dog per night. It is a calmer, quieter boarding area with its own large play yard just outside it, and VIP guests get more one-on-one time with the kennel technicians.
How much does it cost to board a dog at Pet Ponderosa?
Boarding is $59 per night for the first dog and $56 for each additional dog. The VIP Room is $69 per dog. Cats are $37 for the first and $35 for each additional. Add $5 per night for intact pets and $10 per pet on holidays. One night runs from drop-off until 11:00am the following day.
What time can I drop off and pick up my pet?
Boarding drop-off and pick-up run Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am or 4:00 to 5:00pm. Pet Ponderosa is closed on Sundays, so plan a Saturday or Monday pick-up if your trip ends on a Sunday.
What vaccinations do you require?
Dogs need Bordetella, DA2PP and Rabies. Cats need Feline Leukemia and FVRCP. If a vaccine is no longer recommended for your pet, Pet Ponderosa accepts a written exemption letter from your vet.
Can you board a pet for several weeks?
Yes. Short stays and long vacations are both welcome, and the nightly rate is the same however long the stay runs. Long stays are worth booking early, especially over holidays.
How do I make a reservation?
Book online through the Pet Ponderosa reservation portal, then upload your pet's vaccination records. Space fills up fast around holidays and through the summer, so book those stays early.
